Today, I filed to run for the position of Precinct Committee Person (PCP) on the Union County Republicans Central Committee to represent conservatives in the Elgin City Precinct. In Oregon, PCP’s are elected by major party members in local communities during primaries every two years. I was first elected as a La Grande PCP in 2016 after serving as Chairman of EOU College Republicans. I was elected Chairman of Union County Republicans in 2020 and helped elect conservatives up and down the ballot locally and elsewhere in Oregon before I stepped down in 2022 to move to Linn County for work. There I was appointed a PCP representing Lebanon before being appointed Treasurer of the Oregon Republican Party by the State Central Committee. After returning to Union County in 2024, I was appointed to represent La Grande as a PCP before winning a write-in campaign for that position. State law allows me to continue serving as a PCP even though I’m currently registered to vote in Elgin. In May 2026, Republicans in the Jewel of the Blue Mountains can expect to see me on the ballot where I will seek your mandate to keep the Republican Party conservative and focused on making sure elected officials deliver for our community. Remember to vote Alex McHaddad for Union County Republicans Precinct Committee Person in 2026!
